Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk
From generation to generation the Connelly family has continued a tradition of personalized service for its surrounding communities. In 1924 John Gordon Connelly Sr. opened the funeral home on Eastern Avenue in Essex. Later, in 1961 Mr. Connelly and his two sons, John Gordon Connelly, Jr. and Charles O. Connelly, Sr. relocated the funeral home to Mace Avenue.
In 1973, Charles O. Connelly, Opened the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk with the assistance of his son, Anthony “Colt” Connelly. The Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk , during the 70’s and 80’s, that Charles Connelly opened, was and continues to be family owned and operated today under Colt Connelly who has in 1996 assumed sole ownership and operation. The continued personal touches Colt offers the community through his business continues to allow the community to embrace their family business more and more each year as an asset to the community.

Today Terry Connelly, Sr. is the present owner of the funeral home. He is a 1969 graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute in New York City and is a licensed mortician. He also is a graduate of the Kenwood High School Class of 1964 and a member of the Kenwood Career Hall of Fame.
