Recognizing the emotional and financial strain that comes with the sudden death of a child, the foundation aims to alleviate the burden of funeral and burial costs. Like-Hearted Funding embodies the foundation’s commitment to supporting families during this most difficult time, helping them honor their child’s memory with dignity.

Like-Hearted Funding is our fund-raising platform to help our families offset the financial aspect of their loss. It is much like other crowd-funding platforms where a description and picture are included, but different in that there are no fees taken from the campaign. All funds raised will serve to buffer the cost of laying the family’s child to rest. Any funds raised beyond the needs will be given to the family after all funeral costs have been covered. We, along with the family, promote the fundraiser on all social media platforms and encourage engagement from family, friends and community in coming together to meet the need. Like-Hearted Funding ensures that grieving parents can focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship.

Jayla was born with significant health challenges and lived her life in a wheelchair. She was unable to walk or speak, but those challenges never defined who she was or the impact she had on the people around her. Jayla had a beautiful spirit and brought love, joy, and unforgettable memories into the lives of everyone who knew her. She communicated in her own special ways and formed meaningful connections with her family, teachers, caregivers, and everyone who loved her.

Jayla especially loved music and being with her siblings. She loved attending Harford Academy, where she made memories that her teachers and schoolmates will cherish forever. She also enjoyed participating in the school drama club, creating even more special memories during her time there.

Jayla was so much more than her health challenges. She was our daughter. She was our family. She was deeply loved. Her life mattered, and we want to honor her memory by giving her the beautiful farewell she deserves.

We are asking for support to help our family with the costs associated with Jayla’s final arrangements and honoring her memory during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease some of the financial burden while we focus on grieving and remembering our daughter.

Joseph is raising funds in memory of Kamonte Hall, a beloved 16-year-old boy, and to support his mother, Chanta, during an unimaginable loss. On September 5, Kamonte suddenly passed away, leaving behind a heartbroken mother and a community that is still trying to process what happened. Kamonte lived with autism, epilepsy, and other disabilities, but those challenges never defined the joy he brought to the people around him. He was in 11th grade, looking forward to junior prom, and he loved swimming and going on adventures with his mother. Chante poured everything she had into caring for her only son. She made sure Kamonte was well cared for, full of life, and always showed up with a fresh haircut, a nice outfit, and the latest shoes. Together, they brought light and energy wherever they went.

This fundraiser is being created to help ease the burden of funeral arrangements for Kamonte and to provide ongoing therapeutic support for Chante as she faces life without her one and only son. Anyone who knows this family knows how deeply Kamonte was loved and how devoted Chante has always been to him. Right now, the family needs compassion, prayers, kind words, and any financial support people are able to give. Every act of kindness will mean so much during this painful time. Tylee Michael Bennett, age 19, passed away on September 15, 2026 after a brave and silent battle with mental health. Born on October 8, 2006, to his loving parents, Estelle Muldrow and Talmadge Bennett, Tylee was a truly exceptional, kind, and sweet soul who brought immeasurable joy to everyone blessed to know him.

Tylee possessed an extraordinary creative spirit. A gifted performance artist, musician, and visual artist, his talent was a pure reflection of his inner beauty. He expressed his creativity in many forms, including stunning dress designs that showcased both his remarkable artistic skill and his journey of self-discovery as he explored identifying as a woman. Beyond the arts, Tylee had a deep love for animals, holding a particularly special place in his heart for horses.

A dedicated student, Tylee graduated with honors from Oakland Mills High School in 2025 before continuing his education at Howard Community College.

To know Tylee was to experience unmatched gentleness. He was a beacon of warmth who cherished his family, his friends, and his pets. In a world that can often be loud, Tylee was a soothing presence—someone who led with love and had a rare gift for never speaking or acting in anger.

Tylee leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Estelle and Talmadge; his four brothers and four sisters; and a large circle of family and friends who loved him dearly and will miss his radiant spirit forever.

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we honor the life of Dane Allen Porter, 19, of Port Deposit, Maryland, who passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Frank Allen Porter and Laura (Hamilton) Porter. Handsome, naturally charming, respectful and hardworking, Dane brought a unique warmth, humor, and energy to everyone blessed to cross his path.

A graduate of the Rising Sun High School Class of 2025, Dane was eagerly building a bright future. Though only just turning nineteen, he carried himself with the quiet confidence of a young man who had stepped fully into his own. Having recently joined the Harford County Electrician Apprentice Program and working full-time in the trade, he approached his chosen craft with pride, ambition, and excitement for everything that lay ahead.

Dane embraced life with enthusiasm, a great sense of fun, and an eagerness to learn. You could often find him pushing himself at the gym, seeking thrills, or enjoying simple moments working alongside his father on projects. Dane also possessed a deep, soulful connection to music. His eclectic taste was remarkably broad and insightful for someone so young, serving as a vibrant expression of his unique personality and creative spirit. Dane’s newest passion was motorcycles. He had recently purchased his own and enjoyed riding and looking forward to new adventures. A memory that will be cherished forever by his family was recently spending his birthday at Village Greens Miniature Golf—a day filled with love, endless laughter, and friendly competition.

Above all else, family was Dane’s anchor. He shared a deep, loving connection with his parents, whose guidance and unwavering support shaped the extraordinary young man he became. That same love extended to his younger brother, Neil, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond—adoring and protecting him fiercely. Their closeness was a constant source of joy for the entire family.

Those who loved Dane will remember his gentle heart, irresistible charm, relentless drive, and the unforgettable memories he leaves behind. Though his time with us was far too short, the depth of his love and the strength of his spirit will remain with us forever. We find comfort in knowing that he is now safely home in the loving arms of Jesus Christ.

In addition to his devoted parents, Frank and Laura, Dane is survived by his beloved younger brother, Neil; his grandparents, Neil and Karen Hamilton, and Frank and Sandra Porter; his uncle Chad (Laurel) Porter; his aunt Clare Hamilton; his cousin Ryan Dawson; and a countless number of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dane’s honor to the Brandon Tolson Foundation.

Ciona Jessa Coke was born on July 15, 2010, to Delace and Nicole Coke, in Maryland. Ciona was hospitalized on September 20, because of life threatening seizures, and was discharged on September 23, with a full expectation of recovery. Ciona unexpectedly passed away on the morning of September 24, 2026, at home with her mom, dad, and sister. The oldest daughter, known as “Little-Big Sister;” she cherished kisses, bright sunny days, warm windy days, splashing in warm water, banging on her sister’s piano, and the sound of children singing and having fun. Ciona understood people’s emotions and felt joy and sorrow very strongly, which is why she was adored by anyone who crossed her path.

Ciona Jessa was named by our Heavenly Father, and it showed. Her name means, “One who is steadfast in The Most High, who sees all.” By the age of two, Ciona had been diagnosed with microcephaly, epilepsy, spastic cerebral palsy, and a congenital heart defect. Years later, she would be diagnosed with scoliosis. Despite multiple surgeries, various mobility challenges, and difficulty communicating her needs, she was known to always have a joyful smile on her face, unwavering perseverance, and a love for people.

It is with great sadness that on September 30th, JonLuca passed away surrounded by loved ones after a tragic accident. This little hero will go on giving the gift of life to so many other children through organ donation, a truly selfless act. JonLuca was deeply loved, and this sudden loss has been devastating for his family. Their hearts are broken as they try to process the pain of losing JonLuca so suddenly and far too soon.

JonLuca is scheduled to be laid to rest next to his grandparents, and that means so much to the people who love him. However, the unexpected cost is weighing heavily on the family. Any donations will go toward service expenses and helping lay JonLuca to rest beside his grandparents.
