SUMMARY:BTF Loss Due To Suicide Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The way a child passes away brings a range of unique challenges to the grieving process for their parents. We are pleased to announce the formation of our support group for those who have lost a child to suicide.  \nAmy Ocasio\, a licensed professional clinical counselor and a BTF parent\, will coordinate the group. Having lost her son Thomas to suicide in July 2019\, she has a deep understanding of clinical depression and its effects on both those contemplating suicide\, those who tragically take their own lives and those left behind.  \nThis group aims to create a supportive environment for BTF parents who have experienced the loss of a child to suicide. It offers a safe space to share and navigate your grief alongside others who understand your journey.  We hope this group brings our parents comfort and support to our parents.   \nMeetings will take place on the third Tuesday of each month at the Har-Co Resource Center in Bel Air. Learn how to select the perfect combination of cheeses\, meats\, fruits\, and accompaniments. All ingredients will be provided for building your board and for snacking throughout the event. FEEL FREE TO BRING A SNACK OF YOUR OWN FOR SHARING. \nThis is more than just a chance to learn new culinary skills. It’s an evening surrounded by your tribe\, in a safe space\, where everyone understands the unique paths we walk as BTF Moms of child loss.
